MXM creative is an architectural consulting firm run by the talented Nadia Lloyd Lister who also has experience as a social media manager for the architecture industry as well as product design.
The business needed a website to showcase its architecture and social media management services, as well as a shop to showcase and sell its products.
The design is completely custom and designed by Nadia. True to her architecture background, the wireframes were drafted and sent through on paper as opposed to the PSDs we were used to, so the project was already fun. All the elements of the site, including the shop are to specification.

Custom eCommerce Website
We built the website in WordPress to start off with an intuitive backend for our client to be able to make minor changes without the need to rely on us. We build the website with Elementor, to make it even easier to add content to the website.
We customized a lot of modules in addition to the website builder for additional custom content and post types which lets Nadia add a variety of content types like flip boxes and image carousels to her website.
Because Nadia wanted a very visual site with a lot of image and video backgrounds, we built a lot of functionality manually to avoid over-use of plugins and keep the site fast.

The important part of the development process was always to be as faithful as possible to Nadia’s original design while respecting web development principles. Some elements, such as image and video backgrounds are not always our first choice, but they tie up the website very well, so extra effort was made to accommodate them, particularly with regards to website performance, mostly in terms of compatibility and speed.
